3 L’introduction You are taking a trip to France. The plane just landed and you are waiting for your luggage to come out. Unfortunately, your suitcase was lost! Zut, zut, et zut! It appears that you are going to be in France for 2 weeks with no clothes other than what you are wearing. Fortunately, the airline feels so badly that they offer you 1000 euros to go shopping. Your assignment is to investigate French clothing stores and pick out what you would need to survive 2 weeks in France in whatever season you choose.

4 La tâche Using the Internet, you will look at several different French stores, taking notes on the price, colors, sizes, etc., of each item you want to buy. You will select the clothes you want to buy, and create a PowerPoint presentation showing everything that you are buying.

5 La méthode Step 1: Go to several different French stores’ websites. You need to pick clothes from at least 3 different stores. Look at the clothes online and take notes about the clothes that you would like to buy and their prices. Possible websites to visit: http://www.galerieslafayette.comhttp://www.galerieslafayette.com - This is the website for the most famous French "grand magasin" which basically means department store. This is a very high-end store and can be compared to Bloomingdales, Macys, Saks, etc. http://www.promod.frhttp://www.promod.fr - This website has lots of great clothes for women. http://www.cyrillus.comhttp://www.cyrillus.com - This is a large on-line store for women, men, and children's clothing. http://www.dress-for-less.fr/tmpl/de/home.tmplhttp://www.dress-for-less.fr/tmpl/de/home.tmpl - A French discount clothing site. http://www.generation-shopping.comhttp://www.generation-shopping.com - Another large French website with clothes for everyone. http://www.3suisses.frhttp://www.3suisses.fr - Another large French website with clothes for everyone. http://www.laredoute.frhttp://www.laredoute.fr - Another large French website with clothes for everyone. http://www.somewhere.fr/fr/http://www.somewhere.fr/fr/ - Clothing for men and women. http://www.saint-james.fr/http://www.saint-james.fr/ - Another large French website with clothes for everyone. http://www.kelkoo.fr/md-merchantshttp://www.kelkoo.fr/md-merchants - This website has a great list of French online stores. Don’t forget to convert your American clothing and shoe sizes into European sizes.
