3 On the Front Pattern Number Size Grouping Price (Look for sales in the newspaper!) Photograph or drawings of style and all views offered in this pattern.

5 The Pattern Number Is on the front of the pattern envelope. This is used so you can correctly choose your pattern from the drawers in the fabric store. Be careful! Some patterns have size A & B. Make sure you look a the measurements to purchase the right size groupings.

7 Identification Information Pattern number Basic size category Style category (ex. Misses’ pants) Number of pieces (Hint: The fewer the pieces the easier it is!!!) French or Spanish Translations

8 Back Views Drawings of how the back of the garment will look when finished.

9 Body Measurements All sizes for this pattern

10 Yardage Chart Amount of fabric needed for different views, sizes, and fabric widths (45’’ or 60’’) “With nap” or “without nap”

11 Finished Garment Measurements Length and circumference measurements on completed garment.

12 Suggested Fabrics Recommended fabrics for garment. Tells if plaids or stripes are acceptable. If so, you will need extra fabric to match. Tells if stretch fabrics MUST be used!

13 Notions Extra sewing supplies needed to complete the project. This includes INTERFACING! (Fusible or Sew- in) –Usually near the cutting table at the fabric store. Comes in white or black and for woven or knits.
