Social Studies (Michigan Merit Requirement: 3 credits) The student can substitute one of the social studies credit requirements provided that the student has successfully completed two required social studies credits (1/2 credit which must include Government). Health and Physical Education (Michigan Merit Requirement: 1 credit) The student may substitute the credit requirement(s) for health and physical education.
