Meet Veronica! Age 22 - T-cell lymphoma-- "I was diagnosed with T-cell lymphoma last year and have been in treatment ever since. It has affected my life in every way possible. I haven't been able to work or go to school or do anything else because I've been getting so much chemotherapy. … I have a three year-old daughter who I need to live for. … I am asking for help to get a wig because with the … I think it will also be nice for my daughter to see me with hair, even if it's a wig. I am asking for a cell phone because mine just broke and now I don't have a way to talk to my family easily and I can't text my relatives and friends who give me emotional support"

Meet Paul! Age 24 - Rhabdomyosarcoma -- “Life did a 180-degree on me; I came home to help my family financially and emotionally and ended up needing all the help…. After a year of bad news and uncertainties, I want a birthday party to be a celebration of life. It will be my first real birthday celebration ever.

Meet Krystal! Age 20 - Stage IV Rhabdomyosarcoma -- “ I was enrolled in summer school at Illinois State University.. A member of Zeta Tau Alpha, the Eta Phi Chapter.. On top of everything… when my left leg increased to about three times the size it normally is...when I finally got the diagnosis, it was extremely difficult to wrap my mind around what was going on… I never realized how hard it would be … I am turning 21 and I have a hard time lately accepting the fact that I can’t do the things that my friends can do….One of my favorite bands ever since I was a little girt is the Dixie Chicks … the opportunity to see them perform and to celebrate a happy time in my life would be incredible and something I would be forever grateful for!

Meet Greg! Age 23- Testicular Cancer-- “I had no idea how this could happen to me….Being sick has really limited me to all the things that I love to do…I would like to reunite with my best friend and to have my family experience this very special moment in my life. Nothing on this planet would make me more happy than to celebrate beating cancer with my best friend/cousin Edward and our family in a truly beautiful peaceful place. "

Meet Jack! Age 22 - Ewings Sarcoma -- "I'm no health genius, but I didn't need an MD to understand what came out of his (the doctor's) mouth next: "Jack, you have cancer." Quick and painful like a Band-Aid, the room was so silent.... I am terrified because I don't know what comes after life with cancer? The only thing that has gotten me through this experience has been my family and that includes my girlfriend... I would like to go to San Diego to see the zoo and relax on the beach with them. Just enjoy family time not thinking about how cancer has changed all of our lives."

Meet Chandler! Age 21 - Melanoma-- As the doctors tell him he has limited time left on this earth, Chandler wants just one thing – to drive a Nissan GTR…

Meet Katie! Age 24 Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer - “I worked full-time and attended school part-time working towards a degree in human services. I became engaged to my fiance this past Christmas with whom I own a house with. Help from your organization could help me in many ways. Primarily, I hope to be able to go on some sort of a trip with my fiance so that we can enjoy some time away together while I am still feeling like myself.. "

Meet Mary! Age 21 - Ewings Sarcoma- While in high school and college she worked along with her mentor, Dr. Allison Shakarian, at Salve Regina University researching a cure for leishmaniasis. Upon graduation, she enrolled in URI to continue her studies in biomedical technology. She attended school full time and worked 40 yrs a week at her 2 jobs to pay her tuition and car. She has not asked us for anything since she was 16. In August, just before school was to begin, she was diagnosed with Ewings Sarcoma. Her busy world came to a screeching halt. Instead of researching a cure for a rare disease, she was fighting 2....She always dreamed of swimming with the dolphins.
