10. Accelerated Reader n Accelerated Reader is available for voluntary quiz taking in each CES classroom. Students are allowed to take quizzes on classroom computers for books they have read. n Teachers may read books aloud to the students; however, students must read and take the quiz independently. During quizzing, books may be used for title and author information only ~ not for finding the answers. n Student GOAL-To score 80% or Higher on each quiz taken.

16. STAR Reading/STAR Early Literacy n A diagnostic reading test (STAR) to determine the students' reading comprehension levels. Students will be tested at various times during the year to determine if their levels are improving. This will normally be done at the beginning, middle and at the end of school.
