2 Perform a search in ERIC. Click Here.

3 Add the desired records to your folder. Click Here. Click Here to Open your Folder.

4 This is your Folder. Click Here to Save.

5 Click on Bibliographic Manager.

6 Click Here. Click Here to Save.

7 This is the format needed to move the ERIC citations into Endnotes. Click on File and Save As.

8 Save to a folder on your computer. Save document as a Text File. Click Here.

9 Open the Endnotes Program.

10 Create a New Library. Click on File and then New.

11 Name your Library. Click Here to Save.

12 After you have created an initial Library, this box will appear in the future when you open the Endnotes Program. Click Here.

13 This is your empty Library. Click on the Import icon.

14 Click on the Down Arrow.

15 Initially select Other Filters. After you have used a filter it will appear in the menu for future use.

16 Select ERIC (EBSCO). Filters so far found that match our databases: Academic Search Elite (Ebsco) Expanded Academic (Gale) ERIC (Ebsco) JSTOR PsycINFO (Ebsco) Worldcat (OCLC) Science Direct use RefMan RIS Generic You can sort the filters by Vendor.

17 Next Choose File to Import.

18 Select your saved ERIC citations. Click on Open.

19 Click on Import.

20 Your ERIC citations will be imported into your Library. Click Here.

21 If you need to edit a citation, highlight the record to be changed. Click Here.

22 Click on References and then Edit References. Note that you can: Add a New Reference Edit a Reference Delete a Reference Search References Sort Reference (Also Column Tabs) Find Duplicates

23 Make any changes you want. Click Here.

24 Note that keywords have been imported. You can use these keywords for future searching within your Endnotes Library. Also note that the abstract has been imported as well. This is a good reminder of what the article is about. Click Here.

25 Now we want to format our citations in APA 5 th edition format. Click Here.

26 Highlight the citations you want to be put in APA 5 th format. Click Here.

27 Initially click on Edit, Output Styles, Open Style Manager.

28 Click on APA 5th.

29 All of your citations are now in APA 5 th format. Note the APA 5 th format. Once you have used a Style it will appear in this box for future use. Click Here.

30 Click on Insert Selected Citations In your research paper type in Reference List. If Endnotes Toolbar does not display. Click On: Tools Cite While You Write Insert Selected Citations To get Toolbar. Within your Word Document Click On: View Toolbars Endnotes 8 Endnotes documentation says you can insert up to 50 citations into your Word Document.

31 The Selected ERIC Citations will automatically appear in your research paper. Click Here.

32 You may want to make minor changes to improve the appearance of the page. Click Here.
