9. MCC U.S. immigration work is responding to the scriptural teaching from Leviticus 19:33- 34: "When a stranger sojourns with you in your land, you shall not do (the stranger) wrong. The stranger who sojourns with you shall be to you as the native among you, and you shall love (the stranger) as yourself; for you were strangers in the land of Egypt."

Education MCC US and regional staff conduct seminars and organize learning opportunities for churches, groups and individuals to inform themselves more about immigration issues, root causes, immigration policies. Providing immigrant congregations with resources that respond to the immigrant needs – immigrant rights, deportation, and CO –immigration guide. MCC US Immigration Training – (September) 40 hr intensive training on immigration law in Akron, PA.

12. Advocacy Washington DC Office – Works advocating for policies that will benefit immigrant families - and informing our constituency about new immigration policy developments. Providing opportunities to learn about the root causes of immigration and how to advocate, shop, and live with a fair-trade mindset. Collaborates with interfaith groups on immigration issues.

13. Direct Services -Direct Services - Documentation EC MCC -South FL, and NY WC MCC – Reedley, CA. These offices provide legal services to immigrants, and educational opportunities for immigrant communities and Anglo congregations.

Immigration Listening Project A compilation of 36 listening sessions across the US in regards to immigration from MCC Anabaptist constituency Listened to perceptions and concerns about new immigrants, and to learn what new immigrants experience.
