2. Abraham Lincoln's Childhood Abraham Lincoln was born on February 12th 1809 in Hardin, County, Kentucky in a log cabin. He had 2 siblings, 1 older sister and 1 younger brother. Their names were Sarah and Thomas. Abraham, his sister, his brother, his mother and father were forced to move to Perry, County, Indiana. Abraham's mother died of Milk Sickness when he was only 9 years old.

3. Abraham Lincoln's Politic He was elected in the U.S House of Representatives in 1847 to 1849. In between he served Zachary Taylor in American-Mexican War in 1848. Abraham courted Mary Owens about a year after the death of Anne Rultedge. In 1840, Lincoln got engaged to Mary Todd. In 1841, the engagement got canceled and never happened. In November 4th of 1842, Abraham got married and had 4 children but, only 1 survived to adulthood.

4. Abraham's Election In 1854, the Kansas-Nebraska act was passed which allowed states to decided if they wanted slaves or not. Abraham was elected in 1860 as the 16th President of the United States of America.

5. Abraham in the Civil War Abraham was the president during the Civil War. The Civil War is to settle the slavery issue by the North and the South. Abraham did not like slavery like the Northers didn't like it either. At the end the North won and Aberaham got what he wanted slavery to end or stop forever.

6. Abraham's Assassination Lincoln was assassinated on April 14th, 1865 in Henry Ford's theater. Abraham's assassin was John Wilkes Booth in Washington D.C USA. He was buried in Springfield, Illinois.
