Rules Test Much better than in years past!!!!!!!! 50 Questions Need an 80% to pass (40 Correct) Test Closes March 3 rd at Midnight Online Only 3 Attempts Everyone gets the same questions Answers are in a different order

Game Ending Procedure Regular Season Games: In the following three situations, any game which is terminated by darkness, rain or other cause will be considered a suspended game and shall continue from that point of suspension at the earliest time possible: Before it is a regulation game, or After it is a regulation game, and It is tied, or An inning is in progress and before the inning is completed, the visiting team has scored one or more runs to take the lead, and the home team has not retaken the lead. However, in all cases any remaining play may be shortened or terminated by mutual agreement of the opposing coaches.

Force-Play Slide Rule Fielder is Protected in the Shaded Areas

Force-Play Slide Rule Rule 5 Article 1…Ball becomes dead immediately when: – E. There is interference by a runner... Rule 8 Section 4 Article 1...The batter-runner is out when: – Any runner or retired runner interferes in a way which obviously hinders and obvious double play;

Force-Play Slide Rule Rule 8 Section 4 Article 2…Any runner is out when he: – B. Does not legally slide and causes illegal contact and/or illegally alters the actions of a fielder in the immediate act of making a play, or on a force play, does not slide in a direct line between the bases; or 1. A runner may slide in a direction away from the fielder to avoid making contact or altering the play of the fielder 2. Runners are never required to slide, but if a runner elects to slide, the slide must be legal (2-32-1, 2)...

Force-Play Slide Rule Penalty: The runner is out. Interference is called and the ball is dead immediately. On a force-play slide with less than two outs, the runner is declared out as well as the batter- runner. Runners shall return to the bases occupied at the time of pitch. With 2 outs, the runner is declared out. The batter runner is credited with a fielder’s choice.

Force-Play Slide Rule Must be a possible force-play Runner must slide directly into the base (if he chooses to slide) Runner may “give himself up” in the opposite direction of the fielder as to not alter the play of the fielder. With less than two outs – runner and batter runner are out. With two outs, runner is out, and batter has completed his time at bat.

Force-Play Slide Rule The runner may not do a rolling, cross-body, or pop-up slide into the fielder, nor raise or kick the leg into the fielder higher than the fielder's knee. The runner cannot kick or slash at the fielder, or in any way intentionally disrupt his opportunity to make a play. On a force/double-play situation, the runner may not remain upright and in the fielder's line of sight make a play on the following runner; he must slide or otherwise avoid impeding the fielder's play. The runner may not run out of the base path in the direction of the fielder. Once impeded, the fielder does not need to complete the throw to have interference.
