2. WHAT IS MODEL UN Model UN or MUN stands for Model United Nations Model UN is basically role playing. Where you pretend to be a delegate from a country. And debate certain topics.

3. WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS TO DOING MODEL UN? Model UN isn’t just a club that exists in high school. You can also continue it in college. Model UN also looks good on college applications. In MUN you attend conferences at high school and some are held at colleges. The college conferences we usually go to are away (overnight) conferences. So you get to close to campus and go on an unofficial college tour.

4. WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO TO BE A PART OF MODEL UN? To be apart of Model UN you just have to show up to meetings and attend conferences. BE PASSIONATE Model UN does look great on college applications but it’s even better when you actually enjoy it…. So don’t force yourself or let you self be forced into doing it. If it’s not your thing that’s cool

5. HOW DO YOU DO MODEL UN? In MUN in order to do MUN there are things you have to do before the conference actually starts and in committee and outside of committee. Before the conference – You will have to write something that is called a policy paper that basically states what the country or person your representing stance is on the topic During Committee- YOU HAVE TO SPEAK!!! Also there is this thing called a working paper that you’ll learn about later. Outside Committee- You have to work on the working paper(basically complete it).
