1 1.Switch on the computer and wait for loading. 2.Select the Windows 7 OS at the end of the list. 3.Click on the link ‘Administrator’ 4.Enter the administrator password Password: dkn@pclabiii 5. Now you will enter into the Windows 7 Desktop screen

2 To start wamp server Start->All programs->WampServer->Start WampServer64 or Shortcut icon of the Wampserver may be available in your Desktop. Just double click on the Wampserver icon Hopefully, the WAMP Server is already installed in your local computer. If it is installed then follow the next step If the WAMP Server is running well, you should have a wamp icon with green color in the bottom right corner of the desktop (i.e., Notification Icons). See the image

3 1.Open your web browser (chrome or firefox) 2.Type the following ‘localhost’ or ‘127.0.0.1’ in the URL address bar. 3.You will get the given below screen. Now your wampserver is running successfully. 4. Now you have to check that the PHP code is running correctly. Click on the ‘phpinfo()’ link in the previous screen. Then you will get the given below screen.

4 5. Now your Wamp Server and PHP are running perfect.

5 1.Open your web browser (chrome or firefox) 2.Type the following ‘http://www.library.iitkgp.ernet.in/sites/osslm16/index.html’ in the URL address bar. 3.Now, you will get the following screen Download Link

6 4. Click on the ‘Download’ link rounded in the above picture in red color. Then you will get the download web page in new browser tab. 5.Click on the link ‘OSS-Initiative’ 6.Then click on the link ‘cdlibrary.zip’ 7.Now your OCDL software’s zip file is downloaded in your local computer and it will be available in your desktop or downloads folder.

7 3. Click ‘WinZip’ in the popup menu then you will get a sub popup menu. 1.Copy the ‘cdlibrary.zip’ file from local ‘Downloads’ folder and paste into ‘C:\wamp\www\’ folder. 2.Click on the ‘cdlibrary.zip’ file in the folder ‘C:\wamp\www\’, then right click you will get the following popup menu.

8 6.Now the ‘OCDL’ software’s download process is completed and it is ready to install in your web server. 4.Click on ‘Extract to here’ in the sub popup menu. 5.Now you will get the ‘cdlibrary’ folder with all sub folders and files in ‘C:\wamp\www’ folder.

9 1.Open any browser and type the following in the URL address bar. ‘http://localhost/phpmyadmin’ or ‘http://127.0.0.1/phpmyadmin’ 2. Now you will get the following ‘phpmyadmin’ screen Hopefully, your ‘WAMPSERVER’ is running. Database Creation

10 3. Click on ‘Database’ link 4. Type the database name ‘cdlibrary’ in create database input box and then click ‘Create’ button.

11 5.Now your database ‘cdlibrary’ is created. To verify the database creation, a new database name ‘cdlibrary’ is displaying left side panel of the ‘phpmyadmin’ screen.

12 1.Open to the folder ‘C:\wamp\www\cdlibrary’, this is the base folder of the OCDL software 2.Open to the folder ‘includes’ 3.Select the file ‘sys.config.php’ and open with ‘Notepad++’ editor. Right click on the file, then select ‘Edit with Notepad++’. 4.The followings are to be matched in the ‘sys.config.php’ file define(‘DB_NAME’, ‘cdlibrary’) – line no.28 define(‘DB_HOST’, ‘localhost’) – line no.31 define(‘DB_USER’, ‘root’) – line no.34 define(‘DB_PASSWORD’, ‘’) – line no.37 5.Change the red colored values, then Save the file and close it. Change username/password credentials to connect the database

13 1.After successful completion of the database connection settings 2.Open a web browser and type the following in URL address bar http://localhost/cdlibrary/install/index.php 3.Now you will get the web page of ‘Basic System Options’ and ‘Default System Administrator Options’ Basic System Options Site name: Central Library, IIT Kharagpur Online CD Library URI Address: Default System Administrator Options Full Name: Email Address: Login Name: administrator Password: ws2016 Confirm Password: ws2016 Installation – One time entry

14 4.After complete the data entry form, then click the ‘Install’ button at bottom. 5.Wait for the installation confirm message. The confirm message should be ‘Congratulations! Everything is up and running’. 6.Online CD Library software is now installed in your server. 7.You may login with your username and password. Installation – One time entry

15 1.Enter the following URL in the address bar for administrator login. http://localhost/cdlibrary/login.php 2. Username: administrator (or as you created in the time of installation) 3. Password: ws2016 (or as you created in the time of installation) 4.Now, you will get the ‘Dashboard’ page of the OCDL software and initially this page will be listed nothing.

16 1.Go to the menu ‘Options’ and click on inin the administrator login 2.Then click on the menu ‘System Options’ 3.Now, you will get the ‘System Options’ page. Here able to see three tab options  General Options  Email Notifications  Email Header/Footer

17 1.Click on the ‘Email Notifications’ Name: Central Library, IIT Kharagpur Email Address: dlservice@library.iitkgp.ernet.in Email Copy to: leave it blank or enter any one of your personal email-id. Mailer: SMTP Username: dlservice@library.iitkgp.ernet.in Password: osslm2016 Host: 10.3.100.244 Port: 25 Authentication: None 2.Click on ‘Update all options’ button and then you will get the confirm message ‘Site options updated successfully’.

18 1.Go to the menu ‘CD Data Update’ and click on it in the administrator login 2.Then click on the menu ‘Add New CD’ 3.Now, you will get the ‘Add CD’ page. Enter given below data in the data entry form Media Type: CD CD Received Date: 17-06-2016 Accession No.: 100001 CD Category: General Book Book Title: The Collection Program in Schools: Concepts and Practices, 5th Edition Book Author: Kay Bishop

19 CD Title: The Collection Program in Schools: Concepts and Practices, 5th Edition Call No.: 005.520342 COL/B Volume/Part: No. of CDs: 1 Shelf/Box No.: B101 Remarks: any 5.After complete the data entry form, then click the ‘Add CD’ button at bottom. 6.Wait for the update confirm message. The confirm message should be ‘New CD is added successfully’.

20 1.Go to the menu ‘CD Data Update’ and click on it in the administrator login 2.Then click on the menu ‘CD Data Import’ 3.Now, you will get the ‘CD Data Import’ page. 4.Select Import File Type from option box. Select Import File Type: xml 5.Click on ‘Choose File’ button 6.Select the folder ‘C:\wamp\www\cdlibrary\install’ from file dialogue window. 7.Select the file ‘xml_bookcd.xml’ (The selected file’s extension should be ‘xml’)

21 9.After choose the file, click ‘Import File’ button at bottom. 10.Wait for confirmation message. 11.After complete the update process, you will get the following message ‘CD data xml file is updated successfully.’ 12.Repeat the steps 1 to 11 to import ‘sql’ data.

22 1.Open a new browser window, then type the given below link in URL address bar http://localhost/cdlibrary/index.php 2.Now, you will get the ‘CD Library - Search’ page. 3.Select accession numbers 168627, 171012, and TB39696. Put a tick mark in the check box against the accession numbers. 4.Then click on ‘Send Request’ button 5.Now, you will get ‘Content Request’ page. 6.Top panel is listing details of the selected CDs. 7.Bottom panel is ‘Personal Details’ entry form. Complete the form with your personal details.

Phone: Contact Address: Remarks: 8.After complete the data entry form, then click the ‘Submit’ button at bottom. 9.Wait for the update confirm message. The confirm message should be ‘Your request(s) has/have been registered successfully’.

24 1.Go to the menu ‘Dashboard’ and click on it in the administrator login 2.Now, you will get the ‘Request Administration’ page. 3.Here you can see the cd titles requested by user with his/her personal details. 4.Click on ‘Process’ button (at end of the row in the ‘Actions’ column) – Select against the accession number: 168627 5.Now, you will get the ‘CD Request Process’ page 6.Go to ‘Update Options’ Select CD content files: Click on ‘Contents Upload’ button

25 8.‘Contents Upload’ is three types Auto select: If cd contents’ zip file (match to accession number) is exist in the folder ‘C:\wamp\www\cdlibrary\cdcontents\zip\’ Auto Create zip file: If cd contents’ folder (match to accession number) is exist in the folder ‘C:\www\wamp\cdlibrary\cdcontents\contents’, then the system will create a zip file with contents and uploaded in to the folder ‘C:\wamp\www\cdlibrary\cdcontents\zip\’ Select zip file Manually: Select zip file of cd contents from your local computer. 9.Now, you will be moved to ‘CD Contents Upload’ page. 10.Click on ‘Choose File’ button to select the 168627.zip file from ‘C:\wamp\www\cdlibrary\cdcontents\contents’ folder. 11.Then click on ‘Upload File’ file button and you will be come back to ‘CD Request Process’ page.

26 12.Here, you can see the uploaded file’s link just below the ‘Content Upload’ button and the uploaded file will be moved into the folder ‘C:\wamp\www\cdlibrary\cdcontents\zip\’. Open this folder to verify the file. Processed: Select Approved (radio button) Select Options or Type in the Box: leave as it is. Request Status: leave blank (Delete if any text exist) Update with Send email: put tick mark in the check box Remarks: 13.Click on ‘Update Process’ button 14.Now, you will be moved to ‘Request Administration’ page 15.At end of the row, you will get a green color ‘Yes’ display on the ‘Processed’ column in the respective requested cd content and an email is sent to the registered email-id.

27 12.Open your registered email inbox to verify, whether you have received the download link or not. 13.If you have received any email from administrator with download link, then click on the ‘Download Link’ link. 14.Now, you will be moved to ‘CD Content Download’ page with a new browser tab. 15.Click on the ‘Download File’ button, your content’s zip file will be downloaded in your local download folder or local computer. Then close your current ‘CD Content Download’ browser tab. 16.Again go to ‘Dashboard’ and click on the ‘Dashboard’ menu 17.Enter the registered email-id in the search box and then click on the ‘Search’ button, now your ‘Downloaded’ column will be updated with green color.

28 1.Go to the menu ‘Dashboard’ and click on it in the administrator login 2.Click on ‘Process’ button (at end of the row in the ‘Actions’ column) – Select against the accession number: 171012 3.Now, you will get the ‘CD Request Process’ page 4.Go to ‘Update Options’ Select CD content files: Click on ‘Contents Upload’ button

29 5.Now, you will be moved to ‘CD Contents Upload’ page. 6.Click on ‘Create Zip File with Existing Contents’ button you will be come back to ‘CD Request Process’ page with auto generated zip file. 7.Now, you can see the uploaded file’s link just below the ‘Content Upload’ button and the uploaded file will be moved into the folder ‘/cdlibrary/cdcontents/zip/’. Open this folder to verify the file. 8.Complete the remaining data entry process and click on the ‘Update Process’ button and verify in your registered email-id inbox.

30 1.Go to the menu ‘Dashboard’ and click on it in the administrator login 2.Click on ‘Process’ button (at end of the row in the ‘Actions’ column) – Select against the accession number: TB39696 3.Now, you will get the ‘CD Request Process’ page 4.Go to ‘Update Options’ Select CD content files: Click on ‘Contents Upload’ button (The ‘tb39696.zip’ file is exist in the folder ‘C:\wamp\www\cdlibrary\cdcontents\zip\’. The system will select the file automatically and retain in the page.) 5.Now, you can see the uploaded file’s link just below the ‘Content Upload’ button and the uploaded file will be moved into the folder ‘/cdlibrary/cdcontents/zip/’. Open this folder to verify the file. 6.Complete the remaining data entry process and click on the ‘Update Process’ button and verify in your registered email-id inbox.

31 1.Go to the menu ‘Reports’ and click on it in the administrator login 2.Click on the menu ‘Detailed Report’ 3.Now, you will get the ‘Transaction Detailed Report’ page with default current month report. If you want to see the other range of dates, change the from date and to date Report Date: Select from date and to date Type: All 4.Click on ‘Go’ button. 5.Now, you will get the new report. 6.Change any other option and see the differences in the report.

32 1.Go to the menu ‘Reports’ and click on it in the administrator login 2.Click on the menu ‘Summary Report’ 3.Now, you will get the ‘Transaction Summary Report’ page with default current month report. Here, you will get total numbers of transaction details. 4.If you want to see the other range of dates, change the from date and to date Report Date: Select from date and to date Type: All 5.Click on ‘Go’ button. 6.Click on the number link and you will get particular transaction report.

33 1.Open a new browser window, then type the given below link in URL address bar http://localhost/cdlibrary/index.php 2.Now, you will get the ‘CD Library - Search’ page. 3.Go to the menu ‘Registration Status’ and click on it. 4.Now, you will get ‘Registration Status’ page. 5.Enter your registered email-id in the search box and click on the ‘Search’ button. 6.Now, you will get the all registered cd details, transaction status with status of the transaction.
