1 Wave behavior homework Tuesday, March 29, 2016

2 Wave Behavior  Go to my website and do the following:  Review the PPT under ‘wave behavior resources’.  Use the guiding questions, below, to take notes:  What is a boundary?  How does a boundary influence a wave’s behavior?  How does a wave behave during reflection? Respond to this question with words and a diagram.  How does a wave behave during refraction? Respond to this question with words and a diagram.  How does a wave behave during diffraction? Respond to this question with words and a diagram.

3 Wave Interference  Go to my website and  Review the PPT under ‘wave interference resources’.  Use the guiding questions, below, to take notes:  What happens when two waves interfere with each other?  What is the superposition principle?  What are the different types of wave interference?  What is needed in order for constructive interference to occur?  What is needed in order for destructive interference to occur?  Make sure your notes include an illustration of each type of interference.

4 Standing wave  Go to my website and  Review the PPT under ‘standing wave resources’.  Use the guiding questions, below, to take notes:  What conditions have to occur in order for a standing wave to form?  Illustrate a standing wave (label node and antinode)  Watch the standing wave demonstration video on my website.
