8. CHS Accomplishments CHS Speech & Debate- eleven students qualified for state, combined they took second place at Regionals. Next weekend they attempt to qualify for Nationals in Salt Lake City this June CHS DECA - was among 316 school-based enterprises US achieving Gold Level Certification (or Gold Level Re-certification) this year and will be recognized at DECA’s International Career Development Conference in Nashville, Tennessee. CHS has operated for seven years and is to be commended for this achievement. This is the fifth year this school-based enterprise has earned Gold Level Certification. CHS Wrestlers are sending seven boys and one alternate to State; they compete this Fri & Sat CHS Girls basketball took District Champs again this year; they continue their Regional Playoff’s this weekend CHS Dance Team qualified for Districts in two different routines. CHS Cheer finished 5th place at the Washington State Cheer Championships (1 st time they have entered) CHS Coach Steve Graff who was inducted into the Washington State Coaches Association Hall of Fame and recognized at the halftime of our of one of the boys basketball game.
