Introduction: By: Jodi Bumgarner EDU 671 Fundamentals of Educational Research Instructor: Barbara Casey January 19, 2016

Who Am I ? My name is Jodi Bumgarner. I graduated from Ashford University with a Bachelor’s Degree of Early Childhood Education, and I’m working on getting my Master's and I am very excited about getting it. My interests are reading, spending time with my family, and shopping.

My Current Employment/Position I’m presently working at KFC Taco Bell. My position there is their prep person.

MAED Learning Program Outcomes The MAED program outcomes that intrigues me the most is the Implement Research Principles in the design and instructions that meets the needs of diverse learners. I find that research is hard to do and it is very interesting to learn. I also enjoy sharing what I have learned and also learning how to deliver the research principles effectively and it easy to understand for the beneficial outcome. It can also demonstrate the knowledge of designing and the effective curriculum of instructional processes within the educational setting. I have no experience with curriculum and instruction in the school, so I can learn the best way to do things for myself and the students.

Goal For Completion My goals are to learn more about action research and how to use it in a classroom setting. When I become a teacher, I think the understanding of action research will enable me to solve the problems in a classroom.

My Previous Experience From EDU671 The first thing to do is find the area of focus then determine its variables. Step Two develop the research questions which should expand beyond yes or no. Step Three use intervation/innoviation within an action research group. Step Four describe negotiations that have to take place. Step Five create a timeline and list of resources while developing a collection of data and ideas then put the data and ideas into action.

Experiences as a leader in your school, classroom, or organization In my past work history experiences as a leader. I tried to be a fair leader and make sure each person’s feelings were taken into consideration. The one thing that any leader should keep in mind is to always lead by example and maintain a positive attitude. This will enable the others to their best.

My Signature And Designate Preferred Nickname I do not have a nickname however my nephew has called me Jobell, since he was little. I spend my time watching movies and studying when I’m not working. Since my future goal is to become a teacher and hopefully I can be a good positive role model for my students in their future to better their lives.
