3 Membership Activities’ overarching objectives 1. Create awareness of the IEEE’s values to members through better communication and articulation of our value proposition. Focus on web delivery 2. Regularly engage our members so that we listen and understand their needs. 3. Identify our gaps and seek proactive ways to enhance our members’ experience

25 Life Members Activities o In Region 10, 732 Life Members (54% of total 1353 LMs) are affiliated with 5 existing LMAGs. o These LMAGs (New South Wales, Bombay, Tokyo, South Australia, Kansai, in forming order) are as a whole active enough. o Sections are encouraged to form LMAG. Victorian Section and Nagoya Section are very much interested in forming LMAG. o It is important to encourage elderly members to obtain Life Members Status in the future.

29 IBSC Activities 2013 highlights: 1. IEEE R10 IB&SC Section Survey – completed -To work with the Sections to identify the local benefit schemes, to improve upon them if necessary, and to recommend new benefit schemes that are of interests to the members. -The winners are: -Singapore Section: the most innovative and excellent local benefit schemes -Kerala Section: the best proposals for local benefit scheme. 2. IEEE R10 IB&SC Member Survey – completed -To find out from its members the types of benefits and services that they would like to have in their Sections. Four winners were identified. 2014 proposed activities: 1. Identify and recommend 3-4 proposals to be implemented by Sections schemes with limited financial support from R10. 2. Propose and implement 2-3 family/lifestyles benefits such as discounts to Singapore Science Centre, Singapore Museums, Singapore Zoo, Jurong Bird Park, Night Safari, Gardens by the Bay, and etc. Corporate rates are available for IEEE members at the Park Avenue Rochester, Singapore for all IEEE members.
