8 Summer Strength and Speed Development June 6 th -June 1 st –Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday July 7 th -July 26 th –Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday May 30 th -June 5 th, July 2 nd – July 6 th Off Varsity/JV athletes 6:30-8:30 Freshman athletes 7:30-9:30 Cost $200 –Sabercatsports.org to register –Smaller ratio of coach to player –Run by Football staff and Coach McHenry

9 Summer 7 on 7 7 v 7 summer league –Starts June 7 th through July 12 th ? –Every Tuesday night from 5:30-8:00 –Location: Rock Canyon or Mountain Vista –Upper classman only Broncos 7 v 7 Tournament –June 17 th @ (All City Stadium) –If we win our pool we will advance to the championship single elimination tournament June 18 th Located at the Denver Broncos training facility

10 Youth Camp July 11 th through 13 th (we will go the 14 th if we get rained out two of those three days) –6:00pm-8:00pm grades 1-6, non contact –9:00am-11:30am grades 5-8, contact We need you and your athletes help –They can also get community service for working the summer camps Sabercatsports.org to register

11 Mountain camp July 28 th -July 31 st This camp is a must O/D/Special teams Install Team building Cost-$300 –Transportation –Food/dorms –Coaches Sabercatsports.org to register

15 College Recruiting Process A very small percentage of high school athletes go to the next level to play. Approximately 6% go on to play and only 1% will actually play. I will exhaust all of my resources if your son is interested in playing at the next level. – Coaches contacts – Coaches visits – Inform – Promote camps and programs

16 College Coaches Things initially asked by coaches about athletes: – What is there GPA? – What is their ACT/SAT score? – Do they play other sports? – What kind of a leader are they?

17 Freshman Year Be a great student athlete Be a great student – Learn how to be a high school student. – GPA is important » Very difficult to recover from a poor freshman year academically. Focus on the fundamentals of the game. – Listen to coaches – Be a student of the game – Be the best athlete you can be – Get used to creating a highlight film in Hudl Have a great freshman football experience Work hard in the weight room. Play other sports

18 Sophomore Year Be a great student athlete Be a great student – GPA is important – Start thinking about higher level courses. – Take the free PSAT/PACT that is offered through the school. Focus on the fundamentals of the game. – Listen to coaches – Elevate your knowledge of the game. – Be the best athlete you can be – Get used to creating a highlight film in Hudl. Start researching schools/football programs in a region of the country that you are interested in. – Where would you like to go? Which region of the country. – 5-10 schools – Do they have the academics I am interested in pursuing. – Fill out the basic questionnaire all football programs have on their website. If a school really jumps out to you, explore what summer camps they have. – Register for 1-2 camps in the summer to go to. – Many local camps if transportation is a problem. – Cheap Work hard in the weight room Play other sports

Which region of the country. – 10-15 schools – Do they have the academics I am interested in pursuing. – Fill out the basic questionnaire all football programs have on their website. – Take official visits to schools – Be proactive in the application process College coaches will start coming back around in November/December Work hard in the weight room.
