Extra fact thing So the Romans like almost every culture had funerals of course like in Greek mythology the dead would go to Hades and decide if they go to a nice place or tormented but in Roman myth they had Pluto sort of the same I guess….. Anyways the Romans did things differently the would have the body in some place and a relative or someone close would close their eyes and say their name as they do that they place a coin in the mouth because they thought some one carried the body across the river in a boat and well they wanted to pay him so yeah another thing that they did was display the body lower class citizens would usually last a day of display and Higher classes would have a week so yeah…. 7 Galen= Anatomy Galen brought many medical ideas to Rome. To learn about inner organs, Galen cut open dead animals and recorded what he saw. Other doctors studied Galen’s drawings for more than 1,500 years. He put great emphasis on clinical observation, examining a patient very thoroughly and noting their symptoms. Galen also accepted the view that disease was the result of an imbalance between blood, phlegm, yellow bile and blood bile. Riley Gilbert

Roman Roads and Bridges Roman Engineers built systems of roads and bridges at connected all of the empire. Some of the roads have survived over 2,000 years. the Romans needed roads to move their troops around quickly. A good road system also made it easier for the emperors to control their empire as messages and orders could be sent quickly. Riley Gilbert

Worlds best murderer Dr. Harold Fredrick Shipman was a English doctor and is one of the world’s most prolific serial killers in recorded history, proven to have been responsible for up 250 murders. he was well respected in his community, colleagues and local undertakers began raising concerns over the high death rate in the area. The trial judge sentenced him to 15 consecutive life sentences and recommended that he never be released. Shipman later hanged himself in January 2004 in his cell at Wakefield Prison. Riley Gilbert

Ptolemy=Astronomy Ptolemy lived in Alexander. He studied the sky and mapped over 1,000 different stars. Ptolemy created rules about the stars movement, even thought he placed the Earth in the middle of the Universe ( Ptolemy was not correct about that ). People believed his ideas for centuries, even though it was incorrect. Aviana Coleman

Aqueducts Engineers created aqueducts to bring water from the hills and mountains around the city. Aqueducts were pipes supported by rows of arches. They contained or carried the water over long distances. Rome's first aqueduct supplied a water-fountain sited at the city's cattle-market. Before their development of aqueduct technology, Romans, like most of their contemporaries in the ancient world, relied on local water sources such as springs and streams. Aviana Coleman
