1 MOUNT ALBERT GRAMMAR SCHOOL Physical Education and Health

2 Physical Education at Year 9 1) There are TWO periods of P.E. per week for the whole year. 2) The department works on a 6 lesson rotation of facilities so students experience a range of activities and facilities. 3) Academies in netball, rugby, cricket, rowing and soccer have 2 periods per week. These develop into option classes at year 10 along with Outdoor Education. Basketball academy runs before school. 4) Aquatics is part of our programme at all levels and is done all year round. All students are expected to have swimming gear and all ability levels are catered for.

3 Guidelines for lessons UNIFORM: Students are to wear the MAGS PE t-shirt and shorts for every PE lesson. These are available from the uniform shop. This uniform is COMPULSORY. EXPECTATIONS: Students always have their correct PE uniform for every lesson. We have zero tolerance of non-participation in activities. SICK OR INJURIED: If a student is sick or injured they MUST have a note. They STILL get changed into their PE uniform if possible. This means they are still part of the lesson and are involved.
