REF-6646 2016-2017 NEXT YEAR ENROLLMENT FOR ALL STUDENTS All transfer record entries completed by Wednesday, April 13, 2016 All schools will need to enter transfer records for students who live in Optional Area and/or students who participate in:  Schools for Advanced Studies  Open Enrollment  Permits with Transportation  Public School Choice  CORE Waiver Public School Matriculate Choice  Other Transported Students  Special Education-please work with middle school receiving student due to placement change  Cored Waiver Public School Matriculate Choice  Other Transported Students  Special Education

2. MATRICULATING ELEMENTARY STUDENTS TO MIDDLE SCHOOL  Establish a process to verify and clean up addresses for leaving students (5 th or 6 th graders)  Use the letter or create a letter on your school letterhead and attach Matriculation-Withdrawal/Transfer Form and send out with date of return  Update information in MISIS for all students when form returned  Create transfer record only for those students who participate in previously stated programs  Do not provide a Student Transfer Form for students who are transferring within LAUSD (just ensure address is correct) NYE 2 will run nightly until June 30th  Students on Permits-follow procedure in reference guide

3. SECONDARY SCHOOLS  MS encouraged to have matriculation meetings with elementary schools  HS encouraged to have matriculation meetings with middle schools  After the MISIS Next Year Enrollment process has run, schools can view student information for incoming students  Please, do not send parents back to a feeder school for a Student Transfer Form. Schools can call the schools to clarify an issue or create a transfer record if need be.  Zones of Choice HS will see incoming students by mid-April

4. MISIS REPORTS, JOB AIDS & USER GUIDES  Student Resident Schools Report  Next Year Enrollment Error Report-run after NYE 2 is run. This report will provide a list of students who could not be process by the NYE process and the reason why student not processed.  Enrollment & Transfer Records 2016 User Guide-all schools-guide will provide criteria to identify students needing a transfer record for NYE and steps to process the task  Elementary School Rollover-Process available end of April/first of May.
