2. Introduction to Our Program You will become aware of what skills you are lacking, and how to gain them. This training will aid you in becoming a skilled worker. With this new knowledge, you will be a very crucial tool in any workplace you choose. Workers will gain with our instructions, and will be on the road of success with steady guidance.

3. Problem The problem is that there are many positions open, but there is not enough qualified people to fill those positions. The employees need to be strengthened in four major skill areas. The need for correction is that many people are not aware of the skills they lack. They do not know what they are, or how to gain them. Most of the skills that workers have are considered “irrelevant” to employers. If employees don’t meet the certain qualifications, how will they get hired?

4. Training Program Overview In this program, you will be working on four major groups of skills needed to be successful in any job you may choose. When you finish the program, you will take an exam. This exam will prove that you know what you’ve learned. It will consist of a test and a group assignment. If you do not pass the exam, you will have to take it again. If you don not pass twice, then you will have to retake the course.

5. Communication Communication is knowing how to get your point across in a professional manner and being able to work with others effectively. Communication is important in the workplace because it is the key of improving yourself. Constructive criticism is crucial. Also, it will let you express yourself and your ideas, and improve your job.

6. Communication In this program, you will be very hands-on. Mainly, you will be working with others. Being social with your peers is the ultimate way to broaden your skill. We will begin by giving you a quiz, just to see what you know. The rest of the class will go based on the result. For the rest of the time, we will be using seminars to teach you what you need to know. You will have a daily question of the day, to get you talking with others.

7. Communication: Desired Outcome In short, we want you to be confident when it comes to socializing at your job. You should be able to know when to listen to others, and when to apply your skills in the workplace, where it really matters. As a good communicator, we want you to be able to listen to others, give good advice, and work well in group activities.

8. Problem Solving Problem solving is being able to make quick, smart decisions. You should know how to consider many alternatives, but choose the best one. This skill is important in the workplace because it will cut out lots of tension and problems that may arise. As a good problem solver, you will tackle issues and diffuse unnecessary conflict.

9. Problem Solving Throughout the course, you will be put in many situations where you will have to use what you know. This will give you practice and build your ability to get rid of problems that could possibly affect your job. On the first day, you will begin with a game that makes you work together with your peers. Everyday, you will have a powerpoint lecture. You will be given a daily word puzzle. This will get your mind going for the day. You will be put into many scenarios where you and a group will have to figure out how to handle it the best. Then, create your own.

10. Problem Solving: Desired Outcome You should leave this course knowing how to keep yourself calm when it comes to big issues. You should be independently solving your own problems, and helping others with theirs. Making huge decisions under pressure should be a comfortable task for you.

11. Collaboration To be skilled in collaboration is to be able to work together and have a good outcome. Like communication, you should be able to speak to others and get your ideas across. This skill’s importance in the workplace is that it helps when it comes to time. With more people, you can get work done quicker. Two heads are better than one, getting more ideas will help make your company better.

12. Collaboration Collaboration is all about partner work, teamwork, simply the way people work with others, so there will a lot of that going on. You will be playing games with a partner that will be chosen for you. You will come up with 20 questions to ask about your partner. By the end of the class you should be able to answer all 20 questions. You will be playing simple games like tic-tac-toe. After playing those games you will be put into groups of 3 and create your own game. Remember that you all receive the same credit, so if someone is not pulling their weight - you have to handle it. Make sure to test your game out. Make sure it works because you will be presenting it! At the end, you will have a scenario for you and your partner. Be sure to communicate as much as possible, make sure you two are on the same page. At the end of the class, you and your partner will explain the scenario, and then act it out. You will be using collaborating skills, this skit is to show us what you’ve learned.

13. Collaboration: Desired Outcome The desired outcome is that the employees would be able to collaborate with others with ease. They should be able to get work done with one another. This will make work get done faster. Many opinions are better than one! Once an employee has learned that, he will be an important tool in the office.

14. Critical Thinking In this class, you will be learning how to use common sense to choose what’s best. You should have the power to assume what is best for any type of situation. This skill is handy in the workplace because if you can’t critically think, you won’t be able to make good decisions. Decision making will affect the quality of the work you do.

15. Critical Thinking You will start with a opener test You will be given a task that you have to use patience on. Afterwards, the instructor will go over any questions you may have about how to use critical thinking to solve problems. Then, you will make your own situation. You will include how to use critical thinking to solve it. It will be passed around the class for constructive criticism.

16. Critical Thinking: Desired Outcome The outcome we desire is for you to think for yourself. Strive to be the most valuable asset! Take on big decisions and choose the very best result. Equipped with your new skills, making the right choice should be simple.

17. Wrap Up Basically, this program will increase your chances of getting hired. You should have gained multiple skills to use in any workplace. It will help in the future because you will either be a high rank worker, or promoted to any kind of leader figure!
