TR28Used to identify and update periods of missing service or amend any incorrect data held on record. TR6Used to identify a new starter. TR8Used to notify Teachers’ Pensions that an employer has withdrawn from an establishment. Certificate of Re-employmentThe certificate is used to identify re-employed members in order to monitor their earnings limit. Accurate record keeping is the most fundamental administrative task within the Teachers' Pension Scheme. As an employer or Payroll Provider, the submission of service is vital for both you and your members.

3 How does MDC work? Similar process to current ASR MDC Template or extract the data directly from Payroll/HR system Uploaded by 7 th of the month Errors to be cleared by 30 th of the same month Payroll providers given access to ‘Employer Portal’ to submit direct Monthly Data Collection is the submission of member service and salary details, on a monthly basis as oppose to annually.

7 MDC so far 1 st pilot group October 2014 – 80 employers 2 nd pilot group May 2015 – 142 employers Employers now submit service for over 300 establishments Employers using both the template provided and submitting direct from payroll systems 350+ employers on waiting list for next phase Development underway to provide Multi Academy Trust access The first MDC pilot started in October 2014.

8 Registration process Advise Teachers’ Pensions of your intention to start using MDC Email: MDC@teacherspensions.co.uk With: Name, Contact details, Employer name and establishment number A delegation form will be required to administer the scheme on behalf of multiple employers. Contact Teachers’ Pensions or your ERM Read the Guidance Notes and Specification Make your first submission on the delegated submission date
