Either - Click through from search engine result. Or; -Return to LinkedIn and search for them by full name. Or; -Open link in private/ incognito browsing

15 Careers Centre To contact people you find 1.Invite to connect: LinkedIn’s stance is you should only connect with people you know, although this isn’t essential. However, consider why you are connecting, and ensure you tell them when you personalise the connection request message. 2.Ask for an introduction: If they are a 2 nd degree connection (i.e. they know someone you know) 3.Send a message without connecting: Via a group of which you’re both members

16 Careers Centre 1. Invite to connect  Don’t simply send the standard connection request – personalise it!  NB: Apps don’t currently give option to personalise requests. When inviting people to connect, use desktop version so you can personalise.

17 Careers Centre Inviting people to connect: What to say  Remind them of how you know them  Why you’re interested in connecting with them  Be polite & professional  Spelling, grammar  If you haven’t met, proceed with caution

This message may eventually be seen by the person you want to be introduced to.
