Currently, teacher turnover is eroding teacher quality and student achievement. Teacher Quality Project, formerly called the BellSouth Quality Learning and Teaching Environments (QLTE) pilot, works with schools and the local community to find innovative solutions to workplace conditions that may cause teacher attrition.

Strategies Administer the online working conditions survey for diagnostic purposes Tabulate and analyze survey data Provide each school and district an electronic quick report of its survey results to identify strengths and areas for growth Develop strategies (school/district leaders and teachers) to enhance strengths and to address identified areas for growth Provide web-based reports that are publicly accessible to engage community-school partnerships to improve working conditions for learning and teaching Teacher Quality Project

Power of 100™ What Are the Next Steps? continued Each principal receives from the BOR his/her school’s unique e-mail link and instructions for completing the online survey Each principal forwards e-mail to participating staff in the school and should not forward the link to another school Each participating staff member completes the survey by clicking on the link in the e-mail. Survey remains online for three weeks (November 2-23) Principal frequently reminds staff to complete the survey before online window closes (November 24)
