2 Overview: To write a paper, you need 4 parts: Introduction Body Paragraphs Conclusion Works Cited Page

3 The Introduction The introduction should be a brief overview of what will be said in the body paragraphs A thesis statement should be included in this sections Make sure to include fluid transitions between topics as well as a transition into your first body paragraph Should be between 4-6 sentences

4 Body Paragraphs This is the meat of the paper All of the details should be included as well as explained in these paragraphs Typically a paper should include 3 body paragraphs Between 4-6 sentences in each paragraph Depending on the style and topic of the paper, quotes should be included

5 Conclusion Sums up all of the main ideas of the paper Doesn’t add in new ideas or content Wraps up any thoughts Restates the thesis Between 4-6 sentences

6 Works cited Includes all of the sources that are used in the paper Make sure to use correct citation Place all citations in order Include as much information as possible within citation For help with citations refer to: Owl PurdueOwl Purdue
