RMX 2000 Public Demonstration Unit “ GETTING STARTED GUIDE” H. Dowden Video Solutions Marketing

2 RMX 2000 Public Demonstration Unit An RMX 2000 has been made available on the public Internet for Polycom Channel Partners to access at any time Channel Partners may dial into the RMX from any IP video endpoint which is not behind a firewall Sales and SEs can now demonstrate the RMX from both a user and admin point of view, without having to source a physical unit

3 What is the User Experience? Users will dial an IP address on their video remote, which will route them directly into an RMX “Meeting Lobby” (also known as an Entry Queue) The Meeting Lobby will present the user with a choice of three different Meeting Rooms Each Meeting Room will provide a different experience Next slide shows an example of the Meeting Lobby users will see on the demo RMX

4 RMX “Meeting Lobby” (entry queue)

5 Meeting Room #1 - DVD Meeting Room 1001# Auto dials out to a VSX7000 which is connected to a DVD player DVD shows an introduction of a competitive MCU test between RMX 2000, Codian 4200, Radvision Scopia and Tandberg MPS Can support calls up to 1Mb This MR has a duration of only 5 minutes - the call will automatically drop at that time *Note: The complete results of the competitive MCU test, including comparison videos, are available on PRC

6 Meeting Room #2 - Multipoint Meeting Room 1002# Auto dials out to 3 or 4 different video endpoints on the Polycom demo network Note: Demo endpoints may be in use or off-line at any time, so this MR is “best effort” You may also have other endpoints dial into this MR (or drag them into the conference using RMX Manager) This MR is a good place to demonstrate the new Click&View (personal lay out control) –Press either the # key or the * key on your remote to bring up the DTMF key pad –Then press ** to bring up the Click&View interface Supports up to a 1Mb call, duration of 10 minutes

7 Meeting Room #3 – Dial In Meeting Room Meeting Room 1003# This Meeting Room is a “dial in” meeting room When the first participant dials in, they will only see themselves (as well as hear the ‘on-hold’ music) Other participants may dial in using the same MR number to “meet” on the bridge MR 1003 has been given an extended duration of one hour Supports up to 2Mb calls (including SD CP) Used to demonstrate multipoint calls by arranging to have other endpoints dial in

8 Access Instructions to the Demo RMX From any video endpoint (not behind a firewall) and connected to the Public Internet Dial 140.242.126.1 on your video remote (Note: You will require VSX v8.5.2 or later) Users will be automatically routed through a firewall traversal (Polycom V2iU) to the RMX Meeting Lobby You will be prompted to bring up the DTMF key pad, and to enter a Meeting Room number Typically this is done by pressing # on your remote, however it may also be the * key on some systems Enter any of the Meeting Rooms numbers you wish followed by the # sign

9 Administrative Access to the demo RMX Upon Request, Channel Partner SEs can be granted chairperson or operator access to the RMX web-based client (RMX Manager) Access to the RMX Manager allows you to not only demonstrate conference set up, management, system configuration, etc, but also enables you to better manage your demos
