2 Easy as 1, 2, 3 … Register your workplace by 20 April 09 Encourage all your employees to register too by 20 April 09 Week commencing 20 April you will receive an email asking you to create a profile for your workplace on our special Walk to Work Week micro-site Employees will be emailed to create their own profile, with the option to link to your workplace profile 27 April – challenges commence! Mid May – you’ll get a report via email with your workplace results

7 Step 4 Week commencing 20 April you will receive an email asking you to create a profile for your workplace on our special Walk to Work Week micro-site Your employees will be sent an email asking them to create a profile for themselves: they can link to your workplace profile if they want to, or can get on with the challenges themselves on their own

8 Create a workplace profile and you can: Create your own page with its own login and password on our micro-site Personalise with your own logo See the collective progress of your employees See how individual employees are doing Find other workplaces See who the leading workplaces are Time to do = approx 10 minutes

9 Employees will be able to: Create their own page with a login and password on our micro-site Get info on the five challenges Input the time they spend walking during each challenge (in minutes) See their progress brought to life in calories, carbon and distance See how their colleagues are doing, as well as the nation as a whole Get valuable help in our walking advice section Link to your workplace – or not, it’s up to the employee Time to do = approx 5 minutes

11 The five challenges 1.Walk all or part of your way to work during the Week 2.Have a walking meeting 3.Get out and enjoy your local area during your lunch hour 4.Take a walk with a friend or colleague 5.Walk all or part of your journey home during the Week

12 The challenges – a reminder Workplaces: We’ll email you with support information about each of the five challenges week commencing 13 April 09 You can provide employees with the challenge info straight away, or keep it for the Week itself. Employees: Can do one, two or all of the challenges, or do them over and over! Whatever suits the employee. Prize-draw prizes will be available for those who post their results on the micro-site

13 Follow up May:Living Streets will send you a weekly email, highlighting ideas for maintaining the momentum you generated with Walk to Work Week Mid May:we’ll send you a report via email with your workplace results Mid May:we’ll ask you to complete a survey about your experience of Walk to Work Week 09 June:we’ll issue a full summary of national Walk to Work Week
