Hello fellow Bichon enthusiasts, here is a brief view of happenings at Kelzarki Bichon Frise over the last few months. Personal: In June, Tom travelled to the World Show in Salzburg, Austria. He also visited Berlin, Vienna and Budapest. A full day watching Bichon judging was highlighted by the win of Best Puppy in Breed by a young son of our recently imported Champion Petit Ami Raising Son (Norway). Europe was followed by a fortnight in UK, which coincided with the Diamond Jubilee! Several Championship shows were attended in England, and negotiations have begun to bring an exceptional young bitch to Australia. This bitch has just begun her English show career and has several Reserve CC’s. Les judged in NSW, Victoria and South Australia during this period – with his Toy Group winners in both southern states going on to BIS! Tom judged the Hound Club in Western Australia, as well as appointments in Qld and NSW before flying out to the World Show.

Show Results: The exciting Scandinavian import Ch Petiami’s Raising Son (Norway), who is co-owned with Pam Page, has only attended limited shows this quarter, but was unbeaten in the breed. He enjoyed several great wins, including: Best in Group and Runner Up Best in show at Camden. Best Exhibit in Group at numerous major Sydney shows including; Castle Hill, Blacktown and Library and Archives, as well as many Runner up Best in Group and “in show” awards at other shows.

CHAMPION KELZARKI KISSING BANDIT Not to be outdone, Ch Kelzarki Kissing Bandit, who is also co-owned with Pam and was BEST of BREED at this year’s Sydney Royal Easter Show, made a few “visits” to shows – with excellent results! His wins included Best in Group (day 1) and runner up Best in Group (day 2) at Sydney Kennel Club against the Nation’s Top Toys under an all International Judging panel!

New Champions! NEW CHAMPION Kelzarki Divine Mystery has staked her claim as NSW most successful female bichon and most successful puppy. Her career has seen MANY “In Group” wins, as well as some “great escapes” which have entertained the ringside crowds on a number of occasions.

Nursery Page Grand Champion Kelzarki Rusmar Magik, who has been an “Australian Top Toy” and Top Bichon in the country in 2007 and 2008. He is also a multi Best in Show winner! Champion Kelzarki Perfect Choice, who is again a multi Best in Show winner, and was Top Bichon in Australia in 2009. Grand Champion Kelzarki Mad Magazine, one of Australia’s greatest winning bichon of all time, Top Toy in Australia in 2006 and Top Dog All Breeds in NSW, that same year...... And we hope for our first litter by “Sonny” in this quarter!! Our next litter is due in the last week of August. This litter is from Mad Magazine and out of the champion producing bitch, “Katie” (K. Just Like Magic.).

Retirement! Aust. Grand Champion Kelzarki Allaboutmagic set 2011 on fire, bichon-wise. He finished the year as: Number One Bichon and Top Toy in Aust. with multi Best in Show wins. “Harry” has now retired, but will return to the show ring JUST ONCE in the next quarter to complete his SUPREME Grand Championship

New Champions! Congratulations to new Champion Kelzarki Divine Mystery – with sincere thanks to Pam Page for all her efforts! As well, congratulations to: near Champion Kelzarki Stares and Wispers with top European breeder Wivi Olsen.

ORDERS Bookings are now being taken for the upcoming litters. We prefer to sell our puppies to loving pet homes, while show puppies are very occasionally available. Kelzarki Bichon Frise are not only some of the most successful winners in the breed world wide, but also are much loved pets internationally! At Kelzarki, we breed for “breed-type”, quality, excellent temperament, and soundness BUT always select bloodlines which are clear of known genetic defects. Should you wish to discuss, or place an order for, a Kelzarki Bichon, please contact the kennel at the above telephone number, or preferably email.
