Upon successful completion, the student earns 6.0 CEU’s (Continuing Education Units) and a Michigan State University Certificate. Course Lessons 1. Importance and Function of a Manager 2. A: Complete the order form included in this brochure and mail it to the address given with your payment (credit card information or a check made out to Michigan State University.) 2. How is the course structured? A: The course consists of a series of lessons and a variety of on-line quizzes based on readings from your textbook that will be mailed to you by Executive Development Programs. You have one year (extendible upon request) from the time of your enrollment to complete the on-line quizzes and, upon satisfactory completion, you will receive a letter of verification and your MSU certification. 3. Is there an alternative to the on-line format? A: No. The course is current and on-line since 2003 when the manual version was discontinued. 4. What is a passing grade for each on-line quiz? A: A grade of 70% or higher is passing. However, a quiz having a grade lower than 70% can be retaken. 5. What must I do after I have completed all the on-line quizzes? A: Nothing. After successful completion of the course, your grades will be recorded electronically. No further action is required from you. Your certificate and letter of completion should reach you within 10 business days upon your completion. 6. How can I notify my state upon completion of the course? A: Follow the instructions of your state enforcement agency upon completion. Sending a copy of the MSU Certificate may suffice. 7. Who can I contact should I have any further questions? Materials include a textbook and an on- line study guide. Students study each assignment, then complete objective tests on-line through the course website. The tests are immediately graded with the results viewable right away for the student. At least one lesson per month should be completed, requiring no more than ten hours.
