9. 9 9 REACH status in PQD products REACH consists in an inventory of SVHC (Substances of Very High Concern): we have to verify if our products have those substances above threshold limits So far SVHC substances above threshold limit might be discovered in EATON 9130 and EATON 9140 New substances added every six months No compliance certificates can be done for REACH: we only have to communicate to customer the information if we have SVHC above threshold

13. 13 End of Life/ Recycling Regulations Mostly affect countries (declaration/taxes) and design WEEE Recast (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) Applies to all EEE after transition period 2018 Aims at preventing the generation of electrical and electronic waste and promotes reuse, recycling and other forms of recovery. WEEE markings (trash bin symbol) in products Requires manufacturers/ importers to register and declare EEE products and pay fee in each EU country (following local application) Member states have different implementation scope/ measures! Get familiar with the website and the documents, present it and this document to your team Next time you’ll visit your respective country During your next conference call / webinar meeting The objective is to train all Sales people in each EU country and any person who can receive customer requests.
