8 Jump Start – 3/10/16  Get your charts and maps out from yesterday and make sure you have an electronic device to read the QR Codes

9 Manifest Destiny QR Codes  You will be rotating through 4 stations today.  At each station, there are 2 copies of the same QR code that you will use your phone to scan.  Please use all cell phones, but I expect you to be discussing and completing the chart as one group.  The codes will take you to a website summarizing 1 of 4 areas of land included in America’s expansion west.  We will be studying the other 4 after Spring Break.

10 Manifest Destiny QR Codes  For each area of land, you need to read for the following and record it on your chart:  Year that land became part of the U.S.  Country from whom we gained/won/bought the land from  Summary of how we gained this area of land:  The _____ became part of the U.S. in _____. We gained this area of land from _____ when/after/because…  Your summary must be detailed and a complete sentences.

11 Research – After QR Codes  There are enough chrome books for each table to have 2.  Once you have completed the 1 st four using QR codes now it’s time to research the last 4 using the chrome books.
