2 First things first, make sure you have the following: A valid Social Security Number If you don’t have it with you, do one of the following: Call a parent/guardian to retrieve it If you’re enrolling at home: Make sure you bring in your Palomar College ID to your teacher so you can earn your Palomar College credit Take home a hard copy of the online instructions to complete the enrollment at home

3 Palomar Homepage Log onto the Palomar College Website: www.palomar.edu Click on “Apply for Admission”

4 Apply For Admission (Page 1) Click “Yes, I want to apply” Click “No” Click “Next”

5 Apply For Admission (Page 2) Type in your last, first and middle names in boxes 1, 2 and 3 Skip boxes 4, 5, and 6! Type in your date of birth Select your gender Type in your Social Security Number Click “Next”

6 Type in your street address (1, 2, 3, 4) Type in a valid email address (9) Type in your home phone number (10) Cell phone is optional Is your parent active in the military? Click “Next” Apply For Admission (Page 3)

7 Select “2014 Spring” Select “2015 Spring” Select “Currently enrolled in a grade K-12” Select a major from one of the 3 categories Click “Next” Apply For Admission (Page 4)

8 Select “Complete credits for high school diploma or GED” What language do you speak most often? Do you have a job? Scroll down Apply For Admission (Page 5)

9 Select your approximate GPA Did your parents graduate college? If you don’t know or don’t want to tell, you can select “Unknown” or “Decline to state” Scroll down Apply For Admission (Page 5)

10 If you don’t know or don’t want to tell, you can select “Unknown” or “Decline to state” Click “Next” Apply For Admission (Page 5)

11 Select the 2 nd option Type in the year you will graduate high school The page will refresh with more selections Apply For Admission (Page 6)

12 Select “High School/Adult School in California The page will refresh with more selections Apply For Admission (Page 6)

13 Select the letter that your high school begins with Select your high school from the dropdown menu Click “Next” Apply For Admission (Page 6)

14 Select “I have never attended college” Click “Next” Apply For Admission (Page 7)

15 Select your citizenship status Skip the 2 nd and 3 rd boxes Type in City and State/Country you were born in Scroll down Apply For Admission (Page 9)

16 Select all the ethnicities that apply to you Scroll down Apply For Admission (Page 9)

17 How long have you lived in California? Over 36 Months… Select “No” on all three Click “Next” Apply For Admission (Page 9)

18 Apply For Admission (Page 10) Make sure your age is correct How long have your parents lived in California? Are they U.S. Citizens? Click “Next”

19 Write down your 9 digit Palomar ID Number on the Yellow card provided Click “Next” Apply For Admission (Page 11)

20 Type in Social Security Number or Palomar ID Type in Date of Birth Select a Hint Question Type in a Hint Response Create a password 8-15 characters 1 capital 1 lowercase 1 number Click “Submit” Setup Password

21 Congratulations! You are now a Palomar College Student. Be sure to write your Palomar ID, Name, and Date of Birth on the CTE Transitions Sign In Sheet Password Confirmation
