2 Introduction Body Eats Mating Nest Eggs

3 Body The bald eagle has a curved beak and strong talons. Its wing span is up to 6ft. to 8ft.

4 Eats Bald eagles eat mainly fish but also rabbits, squirrels, birds snakes and ducks.

5 Mating A mating pair will fly to a great height and then lock talons and then tumble downward. Then they let go of each other just before the ground.

6 Nest They build their large stick nests in the top branches of tall trees up to 120 feet from the ground.

7 Eggs Female eagles lay one to three eggs. Eagles hatch six weeks later. They leave the nest when they are 12 weeks old.
