2 Crime- An act that violates a law and has a set penalty.

3 Urban- Living in a city.

4 Incarceration- Imprisonment by the state.

5 Victim- A person who suffers from a destructive or damaging action.

6 Trauma- An experience that causes psychological (mental) injury or pain.

7 Advocacy- Active support or argument for a cause (or person).

8 Restitution- An order for a criminal to pay back or compensate the victims of their crimes.

9 Crisis intervention- Help for survivors to regain control over their lives.
