Linac – SBK: Work at CPI continues – Visit by Fernanda last week – LN: Working on several fronts: Shop work on optics box, Optical board done, safety interlocks being built, parts for repair of interface between PriTel and Optical Engines ordered – Modulator: Update talk last week – lots to do in preparation of shutdown testing Booster – Beam Studies: Booster optics software: re-checking MAD file, making corrections, moving along. Booster Longitudinal dampers: no news Booster BPMs: removed electron clearing boxes from BPMs, ordering part for prototype digitizer Collimators: Having regular meetings, moved collimators last week, investigating the software/hardware, new primaries being investigated – RF: Refurbished cavity: – next cavity: ready for testing but needs RF department labor » Will want to do some extra testing - thermal – next/next cavity: on mill, pie tin cut off – will look at flanges for re-machining – next/next/next cavity: not shipped yet 15 Hz: Repairing bus bar connection/weld for stations 17 & 18 - New Tuners: Delivered one set – Pat made up another (for 7 th tuner) – waiting on John for approval Bias Supplies: #9 is upgraded and is ready for high power testing, Next and last Bias is being worked on by EE tech Anode Supplies: East in place and expected to be up and running in 4 wks (difficulties with conduit bending) – West Anode – being populated up to the point where electrician still have room to work Transformer: Installed last weekend (07.17) Perpendicular bias cavity: work progressing – meeting this week to discuss mechanical layout & simulations Stations 20, 21 & 22: Update talk today Rework of cavities 21 & 22: no news New cavities: Tom Kroc appointed as L3 manager – meeting with the team – finalizing specs documentation – Shielding: Tony and Keith – working on documentation – Absorber/Kicker: Discussing insert removal and/or additional shielding – planning for removal later this shutdown

Recent PIP Budget/News Budget: – FY15 - Discussions of task updates/consolidation continues – FY16 – PIP received first pass at labor received from AD – looks fine Update of RLS – Replacement cavities schedule will be revised soon (T. Kroc) – Another revision by end of CY (starting fall (?)) Meetings to discuss transition PIP to PIP-II continue – Working on documentation and arranging of review as requested by Sergei/PIP-II PIP PMG – Aug 6 th PIP physics workshop – tentative Oct/2015
