2 FOR TRAINING USE ONLY Training Objective Task: Reflect upon the importance of establishing yourself as an honorable leader Condition: Deliver material from the Company Honor Rep and view a short clip relating to becoming an honorable leader Standard: Answer questions centering around honorable leadership using material delivered in this lesson 2

3 FOR TRAINING USE ONLY Everyday Daily life – You are now associated with The Citadel among your friends and family – Appreciate where you come from, where you are now, and understand you are branded with The Citadel as it is an element of you You have invested your life – You have committed to this institution and to yourself to maintain an honorable reputation – It only takes one mistake to ruin that with yourself, your friends, and your family

4 FOR TRAINING USE ONLY Social Media – Maintain professional appearances – Easiest way to ruin a dream job, or get one – Set yourself apart and uphold an honorable reputation Peer Influence – Be a friend worth having to your peers – Know what is right and wrong and stick to your honor

5 FOR TRAINING USE ONLY It’s Your Time As a Junior, you are held responsible for the direct interactions, training, and leadership of those beneath you Maintain your honor for yourself and for your subordinates – Have them want to be like you Think of a cadet you respected as a knob – Take what you know, and use it to the best of your abilities Be someone worth looking up to Set a strong path this year to further your career as a leader

6 FOR TRAINING USE ONLY Honor After Here As a leader, focus on your personal honor, as opposed to ‘committing an Honor Violation at school’ – Develop your own moral guideline/standard Watch this short clip and relate it to your life as a whole, regardless of your rank or responsibilities at The Citadel

8 Reflect Do you think you’ve learned to live honorably during your time at The Citadel? Do you think living honorably will be important after The Citadel? Provide examples where you have seen people whom you respected compromise their honor and suffer serious consequences Provide examples where you have seen people compromise their honor but still achieve – What is your perception of that person?

9 FOR TRAINING USE ONLY Provide Feedback Now that you are familiar with Honor LTP classes, help us help you Provide feedback on how the classes have been going, what you liked/disliked, and what you want to learn Company Honor Reps will submit feedback up the Chain of Command
