2. History/Background An American teen drama series, the fourth of the Beverly Hills, 90210 franchise, crated by Darren Star. It revolves around quite a few students in the non-existing West Beverly Hill High school; these students include Annie and Dixon Wilson, who have just moved to Beverly Hills. They moved with their mother Debbie Wilson, and their father Harry Wilson who had returned to his childhood hometown Beverly Hills from Kansas. The reason he returned is being he is caring for his alcoholic mother, former television and theatre actress Tabitha Wilson. Annie and Dixon have a hard time adjusting and sometimes Dixon struggles with the fact that he is an African American adopted into a white family.

Main Characters/ Main point of show The main characters are: Annie Wilson (Shenae Grimes), Dixon Wilson(Tristan Wilds),Naomi Clark(AnnaLynne McCord), Erin Silver(Jessica Stroup), Adriana-Tate- Duncan(Jessica Lowndes), Debbie Wilson(Lori Loughlin) Kelly Taylor (Jenny Garth). The main point of the show is Dixon and Annie’s lives at home but also their friends and classmates at their high school. This show focuses on, Drug addiction problems (Adriana), Teen pregnancy problems (Adriana), Sex scandals, romances, partying, friends and social life.

4. Setting of show/ majority of scenes The show takes place in Beverly Hills, Some of the scenes take place in their Beverly hills high school but the majority of the scenes take place during activities outside of school such as parties, home life, personal events… etc. The setting for this teen drama is important because it draws adolescent’s attention with how the girls and guys are glamorous, how they party, or go shopping. It would be most likely that a teenaged girl would be interested in this show because of those things. The atmosphere is that life is the most fun when your rich, popular, and partying.

5. Character 1: Adriana Adriana, her role in the show is an actress in her high school, she is in musicals and plays, her mother always pushed her to be in every play or acting event and as soon as she knew it her daughter was a child star. Adriana goes to West Beverly high school and is friends with Naomi, silver, and Navid. Her and Naomi join a club called C&C which means Champaign and cocaine Naomi only tried it once but Adriana became addicted. Navid decides to help her by paying for her to go to a rehab center to get clean and she went; they soon after began to spend more time together and begin a relationship. After becoming clean and being in a relationship with Navid she finds out that one of her ex-boyfriends relapsed on drugs and tested positive for HIV, since she had slept with various men during her addicting, Adriana goes and gets herself checked out by the doctor only to find out that not only is she HIV positive, she is pregnant. Her and Navid break up and it turns out Ty Collins is the father, she plans to keep her pregnancy a secret and give it up for adoption.

6. Character 2: Annie Annie is an aspiring actress and had to deal with her parents adopting her brother Dixon at age 7. they are both enrolled in West Beverly high school where their father harry went to and now is the principal of the school. She befriends Silver, and Naomi but her and Naomi have a brief falling out about her boyfriend Ethan. Annie breaks up with her childhood friend/ boyfriend Jason and soon after starts to date Ty Collins. Her and Adriana Don’t get along for awhile.

7. Character 3: Naomi Naomi is hot, and popular and has privileges other kids don’t, even though she is rich and popular she has a good heart and is very protective of her friends. That being said, if a person has hurt her she can be quite malicious to them. She befriends Annie when she first arrives to west Beverly High School, and dates Ethan Ward. Ethan cheats on her and Annie witness’s it, and it gets back to Naomi and they eventually break up. She is not very good at school because she is busy going out with friends shopping, boys, and parties.

8. Statistics/Successful or not successful 1.1 million people globally watch 90210 I think it is successful because everyone in my high school knows this show and a lot of my friends watch it, this show has become one of the most popular shows in 2012.
