5. Only plants with hard leaves can survive. Many leaves are very hairy so with that it can collect moisture from the air & use it.

6. Have both forests and grasslands. Animals sleep during the day & come out at night. Dry summers cause biome to be sensitive to fires. Animals can survive on very seldom amount of water. Common animals are coyotes, mule deer, praying mantis, and lady bugs.
