5. Prepositional Phrase
Reminder: A prepositional phrase is a phrase (group of words) beginning with a preposition.
Prepositions: in, as, down, under, beneath, beside, through, with
I see a tiny jellyfish! One stung me on the foot.
Where did the jellyfish sting you?
ON THE FOOT
The police searched throughout the apartment for the escaped criminal.

THROUGHOUT THE APARTMENT

6. Prepositional Phrase
A prepositional phrase can also act as adverbs and adjectives
Adverb Phrase: appear RIGHT AFTER a verb or at the BEGINNING of a sentence
Adjective Phrase: come RIGHT AFTER the word they modify (or change)
