60% of the programs sampled contained violent scenes.
30% of the violent scenes showed villains who were never punished.
70% of these “bad” characters showed no remorse when committing violence

Any sexual contact forced upon a victim. It occurs when a person is forced to participate in a sexual act against his or her will.
The abuser is often someone the victim knows and trusts. Often the sexual abuser of children and teens is an adult family member or friend.
Abuses don’t always use physical force. They persuade, bribe, trick or bully the victims.
Sexual harassment is a type of sexual abuse. It is when uninvited and unwelcome sexual contact is directed at a person. It includes words, touching, jokes, looks, notes, or gestures with a sexual meaning.
It is against the law and should be reported immediately!

Acting out in an inappropriate sexual way
Nightmares, sleeping problems
Becoming withdrawn or very clingy
Becoming unusually secretive
Sudden unexplained personality changes, mood swings and seeming insecure
Regressing to younger behaviors, e.g. bedwetting
Unaccountable fear of particular places or people
Outburst of anger
Changes in eating habits
Self-harm (cutting, burning or other harmful activities)

It can be physical, sexual, emotional, economic, or psychological.

More Facts About Domestic Violence
This year, about 450,000 women will be beaten between Thanksgiving and New Year's Day.
Battering is the single largest cause of injury to women in the United States. 
Nearly 50 percent of abusive husbands batter their wives when they are pregnant, making them 4 times more likely to bear infants of low birth weight. 
More than half of all homeless women are on the street because they are fleeing domestic violence. 
Last year, the number of women abused by their husbands was greater than the number of women who got married.
