2 The Industrial Hose Division Presents: Why Use E-Z Form Hose?

3 The Industrial Hose Division’s E-Z Form PPT consist of the following:
Why E-Z Form hoses were designed Where do you use E-Z Form hoses Value Proposition of E-Z Form Product specifications, systems, and information Markets, equipment, and applications Couplings and attachment methods OEMs that have spec’d in E-Z Form E-Z Form Testimonials

4 Why E-Z Form hose was designed?
Due to Parker being the premier motion control systems supplier there has been a constant stream of requests for formed hoses from Parker’s OEM customers. Instead of copying a commodity item, the Industrial Hose Division created a unique family of products that services our customer’s needs and allowed Parker to create a system that would revolutionize the OEM world. Thus the creation of E-Z Form hose! An incredible hose design that allows for a straight length of hose to be bent into unique configurations and bend radius’ never seen from a standard hose, which normally could only be achieved by formed hoses. The picture is 1 ½” id E-Z Form Hose

5 What makes E-Z Form hose special? It is all about the Groove!
The special process to cut the grooves in the cover of the hose allows the E-Z Form hose to bend in configurations like no other hose. Twist it, bend it, and just try to kink it. The design of this hose allows the OEM customer to easily design prototype equipment without the expense of formed hose tooling and long lead times to develop prototypes. The E-Z Form is ready and on the shelf! In regards to the MRO side of business, there is no need for stocking various lengths and configurations of formed hoses, one hose does it all, E-Z Form, which is offered in various sizes to service many applications and markets. These picture are the same 1 ½” id E-Z Form Hose

6 Where do you utilize E-Z Form hose?
Where there is tight routing issues for coolant, hydraulics, power steering, and fuel fill hose applications In place of formed hose applications or routings with multiple connections systems

7 Parker’s Value Proposition for E-Z Form
Provides Costs Savings $$$ by Reduces inventory and storage of formed hoses Eliminates prototype tooling costs Eliminates production tooling costs Reduces labor Reduces costs when replacing multi-component systems Provides Time Reductions by Reduces engineering design time Reduces production part lead times Simplifies hose routing issues Reduces Warranty issues by Reduces kinking and tight routing problems Reduces leak points

Rated to -40°F to +302°F 150 psi wp with 4:1 Designed for High Temperature Hydraulic Suction/Return Line The TARGET is Formed Hoses or tight routings that standard hydraulic suction/return line hoses can not achieve Crimped with HY series couplings

15 The E-Z Form Systems Solution
Parker’s disciplined approach has qualified E-Z Form hoses with multiple styles of crimp fittings in popular sizes and terminations. These crimp specifications are for sizes ½” thru 2”. For larger hose sizes where crimp couplings are not readily available, E-Z Form hoses are supple enough to easily accept beaded ends secured with constant tension clamps. The Industrial Hose Division has also developed Parkrimp dies for the popular sizes of E-Z Form hoses, which are shown below to supplement existing specifications for Parker adjustable crimpers. Please permanent crimp specifications refer to CrimpSource at

27 EZ Form Hose Testimonials
One of our salesman calls on an OEM customer that makes road paving equipment. They were having problems with a competitors radiator hose that was kinking at the connection due to the sharp bend radius needed for the application. Parker solved the customer’s problem by using the 7395 EZ Form. The following pictures are the before and after EZ Form. Before After

28 EZ Form Hose Testimonials
One of our OEM customers is utilizing 5/8” and ¾” E-Z Form GS coolant hose to replace long lengths of copper tubing on buses that transfers coolant. The customer has determined that using E-Z Form saves money by reducing labor to braze and bend the copper tubing plus reducing leak points throughout the cooling system.

29 EZ Form Hose Testimonials
One of IHP’s product managers was having a meeting with one of our Parker Full Line Distributors. During the meeting we showed them samples of the ¾” series 7219 EZ Form MP hose. The VP of Sales stopped the meeting, took the sample, grabbed his cell phone and called one of his OEM customers. He asked the engineering manager to gather all the engineers for a meeting because he had just found a solution to a hose kinking problem they had been experiencing for 3 years. That afternoon Parker’s E-Z Form series was specified on the OEM’s print and we are now selling 40,000 ft. per year of this part to the customer.
