Gender Equity Mandate (AB 2404) Discuss the importance of gender equity as it relates to changing societal constructs and as it relates to the legal requirements of AB 2404 Identify examples of strategies that other agencies have used to comply with the Gender Equity Mandate

3 What is AB 2404? Californian Boys and Girls Playing on even Playing Fields Prohibits specific local government agencies from discriminating against any person on the basis of gender in the operation, conduct, or administration of community youth athletics programs and activities, or in the allocation of parks and recreation facilities and resources that support or enable these programs and activities. Bill would create an independent right to bring a civil action for equitable and monetary relief.
