Money amount and words for things we can’t count take a singular verb. We use is with an uncountable noun or singular noun. Here is a twenty – dollar note. Here is some change. Is there any money left? How much is your salary?

Coins, bills or words for things we can count take a plural verb. We use are with plural nouns (plural verb) Here are five one-hundred notes. Here are ten one-bath coins. There are twenty books in the drawer? There are some pens in the box.

Note. In Thai currency, we don’t add ‘s’ at the end of ‘baht’ or ‘satang’. This is because in Thai language we have no ‘s’.

Expiration Date: 00/00/00 Usually the subject and verb in the headline will be the same as in the lead. If you don’t understand the headline, read the first sentence in the lead. This is because the main idea in the headline must be repeated in more details in the first paragraph (known as the lead) The style of writing usually means that the writer uses the verb in the headline and then he will use that verb again in the lead, or may use another verb but both verbs must have the same meaning.
