Space Tim Peake is our first true British astronaut.

Tim Peake ● Tim Peake is our first British astronaut because he is fully British. Tim is also a true British astronaut as he was funded by the UK. He is 43 and launched at 11:03am 15 December 2015! ● He launched with another Tim and Yuri from Kazakhstan.

Their Journey to the ISS ● Soyuz was the name of their rocket. ● They were waved off by their friends and family. ● To get there it took 6 and a half hours.

ISS ● ISS stands for International Space Station. ● It took 13 years to build. ● The ISS has a room were you can look down to Earth. ● Sixteen countries made the ISS. ● It goes around Earth 16 times every day!

Principia ● Principia is the mission Tim Peake is on. ● The Principia badge was made by 13 year old Troy. ● On the badge, there is the rocket in which Tim went to space, also there is an apple from when Newton sat under the apple tree.

What are they doing up there? ●I●In space they are doing repairs to the Space Station, doing space walks and experiments. Don't forget that they are also improving relations by being friendly to other countries. ●T●They have gone to get young people interested in space for the new generation.

The solar system ● The solar system is made up of eight planets Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune.

Stars and galaxies ● Beetle juice is the name of a dying star. ● The milky way is the name of a galaxy.

Coming Home ● On the picture is a rocket coming down to Earth. You have a parachute for jumping out of the rocket! Tim Peake is due to come home on 5 th of June 2016. He's already planning his next trip.
