4. CAUSE AND EFFECT Cause-Patagonia is high, cold, and barren area. Effect-The harsh environment dose not support much life.

5. MAIN IDEAS Amazon river is the worlds second largest river. South America has three other big river basin. South America has plains as well as mountains and rivers.

12. MAIN IDEAS People have farmed and raised livestock in the Andes. They grow their own fruits and vegetables. They hunt for fish and meat.
