1 Nouns and Pronouns L5.1 Lesson 10 Fifth Grade

2 When Do I Teach What? There are two main ways to incorporate the mini-lessons: – Teach the 30 lessons (PowerPoints) in sequence. – Use the formative assessments at the beginning, middle, and end of the year. These are included. The first one may used to identify who needs help with specific skills. The second one may be used to progress monitor, and the third one may be used to evaluate student progress at the end of year.

4 Lesson 10 Noun-Pronoun Agreement

5 Day 1 – Introduction Pronouns are words that take the place of nouns. Subject pronouns take the place of a subject in a sentence. Object pronouns take the place of a noun that receives the action of verb. Possessive pronouns show possession, or ownership. A pronoun must agree with, or match, the noun that it replaces in a sentence.

6 Day 1 – Introduction SingularPlural Subject Pronouns I, you, he, she, it we, you, they Object pronouns me, you, him, her, it us, you, them Possessive pronouns my, your, his, her, its our, their 1.1. When Sara got home from school, she could not find her coat. 2.Two boys found Sara’s coat on the bus. They gave the coat to the bus driver. 3.The bus driver brought the coat to school and put it in the lost and found box. 4.Sara saw Colin and Nigel at school the next day and thanked them.
