2 Use PRESENT SIMPLE AND CONTINUOUS - PASSIVE We use passive voice when we focus on the action performed not on the doer of the action

3 PRESENT SIMPLE - PASSIVE Active subject + verb + object I lock the door I always lock the door. (I am the one who locks the door) Passive Object + to be + past participle The door is locked The door is always locked. (someone always locks the door, we don’t know who)

4 PRESENT CONTINUOUS - PASSIVE Active subject + to be + verb + ing + object I am locking the door I am locking the door now. (I am the one who is doing this, at this exact moment) Passive Object + to be + being + past participle The door is being locked The door is being locked right now. (Someone is locking the door right now, we don’t know who is doing this)
