3 CBNRM programme / communication a) Regional Level communication / Decision makers Face to face meetings Participate as part inter ministerial committees Attend special events / disseminate information around conservancies Invite media and interest groups to your areas

4 Communities Work with local conservancy committees to disseminate information Plan together and look at strategies of what suite each piece of info. to be communicated Use avenues that is easy accessible to locals.

6 DISTANCES Radio 96% Namibians in rural areas listens to radio Quick and cheap medium for communication Programmes could be set up cheaply A good tool for announcements; debating issues; disseminating info.etc.

7 ACESS / CREATIVITY Access information Some of our clients or conservancies are situated in very remote areas and thus makes it difficult for them to access information.  Gatherings / Pension points, permanent information dissemination of information a a strategic point, regional government offices, magistrate courts, police offices, popular shebeens, announcements at church gatherings; hospital or clinics information boards.

8 Creativity Make sure information is translated in very simple local language and use cartoons or artistic drawings to communicate your issues. Have regular programmes around conservancy issues Use schools as way of disseminating issues to parents Local newspapers could be created and info. disseminated

9 ILETERACY Use posters / drawings to explain issues Radio can also re-enforce Drama groups can also be use to re- enforce issues
