BUILDING HISTORY  1987 Charles Lundberg moves to Austin, starts bakery  1895 Lundberg passes away, wife sells business to Henry Maerki  1906 Maerki sells the business  1906-1963 Building houses electric company, finance office, nightclub  1963 Heritage Society of Austin purchases building  1969 State of Texas assumes ownership, becomes threatened with destruction  After outpouring of support, state turns it over to the City of Austin  1974-1976 Office of Bicentennial Affairs  1976 Converted to ‘Old Bakery and Emporium’
