Even though water is known as the “universal solvent”, there are some things that it can’t dissolve.

We have developed other solvents to dissolve the things water can’t. Many of these solvents are powerful cleaners, while others can dissolve metals like silver and gold

Unfortunately, many of these solvents are very dangerous and must have warning signs on them

WHMIS labels appear on any hazardous substance (not just solvents) that we use.

W.H.M.I.S stands for: Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System
