2. March 12 th 2013 Muon LS1 operation meeting2 Recap of last week March 6 th : –Muon(CSC,MDT and TGC) services disconnection done on SWC –All SWC flexible chains were disconnected. March 7 th : –SWA moved to standard opening position. (Thanks MDT and TGC supporting teams) March 8 th : –EELA15 service installation. ( LV, Fiber, DCS, Grounding, HV done ) –USA15 Rack Y26.16A cleaning up done. –SWC movement to HF truck at afternoon. –Turbine failed on RPC Rack Y4202X4 in UX15. –MDT gas system unexpected stopped after the SGX intervention. one bad coupler in the profibus PA line was replaced and fixed problem. March 11 th : –TGC HV test on BW chambers with portable power supply. ( 1 of 9 back to work ) –Broken turbine was replaced on Rack Y4202X4.

March 12 th 2013 Muon LS1 operation meeting4 Muon related activities this week From March 11 th : –UX15 accessible from 7 am to 7 pm, Monday to Friday –Please follow the safety rule in the cavern Helmet, safety shoes, badge, harness etc March 12 th : –No access to barrel region due to TRT leak test March 13 th afternoon or 14 th morning: –SWC lift to surface March 11 th to 15 th : –EELA sector 1 mechanics installation –Everything go smoothly, then install the chamber March 15 th afternoon

March 12 th 2013 Muon LS1 operation meeting5 Other issues and discussions IMPACT IMPACT 24858 was approved for providing the access of USA15 works during LS1. –50+ names in the list. –Several peoples showed “denied” status mainly due to the missing dosimeter or training course. Need to prepare the IMPACT for SWC access in buffer zone after the lifting –Only provide the access for the relevant experts (CSC,MDT and TGC) Re-submit all PPSPS documents (no progress so far) Intervention –March 4 th to 12 th Muon Cooling intervention. –4 weeks USA15 cooling intervention will finish on March 20 th. Already asked the TGC DAQ resources back to available on March 21th. –April 11 th to 15 th limitation of barrel access due to Pixel extraction –April 15 th to 19 th Intervention on sectorisation of chilled water. DSS action need to be modified to ensure the EE commissioning) Unknown extra cables were disconnected on SWC sector 9 below the CSC HV splitter box ( see pictures in next page )
